Portland or Bust Build continues its "Built on Tuesdays" series with the San Francisco Poetry Slam Team's "No Rest 'Til Portland (The One in Oregon, Not Maine)." Part confab, part bonding session, the reading provides the team -- Justin Chin, Russell Gonzaga, Horehound Stillpoint, and Hank Hyena -- a chance to get their act together before they face their literary rivals at the Olympian-style National Slams in Portland next month, where over 25 U.S. teams will compete. Slammers get three minutes to stand up and do their shtick, after which they are rated by selected audience members, all the while trying to avoid what Chin ominously terms "the dreaded sudden-death haiku round." Former Slammer Beth Lisick jumps in as guest reader. The words flow at 8 p.m. at Build, 483 Guerrero, S.F. Admission is $4 and up; call 863-3041.
