Mill Valley Film Festival

The 19th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival opens Thursday, Oct. 3, with screenings of Mike Leigh's Secrets & Lies and Scott Hick's Shine. The festival continues with more than 100 programs of films, videos, special events, and seminars through Oct. 13 at the Sequoia Twin Theaters, 25 Throckmorton Ave. in Mill Valley, and other venues. Tickets run from $50 to $125 for the opening-night events, about $7.50 for most other screenings; call 383-5346 for more information.
