Fioridella isn't your everyday flower shop. It has a feral, earthy feel about it, rich with deep colors, rough textures, and the irregular, diverse phantasmagoria of the great outdoors. The plum-colored, timber-and-terra-cotta setting is reminiscent of a country farmhouse, far from the pastels and pertly arranged blossoms of the typical florist. Big, coarse urns and hand-woven baskets spill over with orchid blossoms, daffodils, and flowering magnolia branches, while Mexican pottery, mouth-blown vases, and slippers of woven grass provide singular aesthetic accents. Walking into this place is an exotic, strangely artistic experience.
