Once one of the top live-music scenes in the country, San Francisco's jazz is now esoteric, but still alive thanks greatly to the support of one swank little venue called the Plush Room. With barely 130 seats and an attentive clientele, the intimate downtown spot gives local and national talents like Wesla Whitfield, Faith Winthrop, Paula West, Jacqui Naylor, and Andrea Marcovicci a respectable place to step onstage and entertain with the sophistication and style of yesteryear.
