Frog Hollow Farm

Published on May 14, 2003

The famous Frog Hollow Farm in Brentwood sells its produce to the best restaurants around. In order to showcase its superb fruit (its Web site is headed, "Your home to the sweetest, juiciest organic, tree-ripened peaches you've ever tasted"), the farm crimps a bit of flaky, buttery pastry around some lightly stewed peaches or cherries, and the result is amazing. (When stone fruits are not in season, the pastries might feature gingered apples or rice pudding studded with berries.) For about the same price as a leathery, gluey Danish, you can taste the apex of the baker's art.
