Thursdays can bring out good moods in anticipation of the weekend, but at some club nights it's just too tempting to overdo it. Such is the case at "Bad Kitty!," where debauchery is highly encouraged. This Friday's edition of "Remedy" features special guest Marques Wyatt from L.A. The veteran house DJ has hosted several sizzling club nights down south for many years, from current mainstay "Deep" to the memorable '90s weekly "Does Your Mama Know?" He's witnessed several generations of club scenes rise and fizzle, and held on all the way, consistently delivering elegant, refined performances. Wyatt's set on Feb. 20 will provide a teaser for his new mix CD, Horizons (Om Records), due out at the end of March. Though he initially moved to Florida and will soon relocate to Los Angeles, John Beltran is still closely associated with his hometown of Detroit, a metropolis that's famous for turning out soulful electronic musicians. Beltran's near 10-year recording career first gained acclaim in Europe through album releases on the influential R&S label and music that blurred the boundaries between armchair ambient and dance-floor techno. Two weeks ago he released his sixth LP (and second for the California-based Ubiquity Records), In Full Color, a nod to his roots. Beltran plays alongside resident "Safe" DJs Mikebee and Jamin on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Top, 424 Haight (at Webster), S.F.
