Let's see. We have the Giants waddling toward home plate against the Florida Marlins. We have the A's staring at strike three against Boston and blowing a 2-0 series lead in the most painful way possible. We have the Warriors going from young and promising to old and embittered in the span of a year, looking more hopeless with every stomp of coach Eric Musselman's loafer. We have Stanford basketball storming through the regular season, winning all but one game, then limping meekly out of the NCAA tournament in the second round. We have the 49ers imploding. We have the Raiders exploding. Hard to say who's the biggest loser here. Wait, that's not true. Just ask all of us Bay Area sports fans who've thrown our remotes at the television in the past year.
