The cover alone is enough to have you in stitches: J-Zone lounging on the beach wearing a full-length fur coat, a martini in hand, a boombox by his side. It's a sign that the Queens rapper and producer responsible for such humorous masterpieces as Music for Tu Madre and A Bottle of Whup-Ass is back in effect with his fifth album, A Job Ain't Nuthin' But Work. On the hilarious "Spoiled Rotten," J-Zone spars with fellow underground star Celph Titled, and Devin the Dude shares his tales of money troubles on "Greater Later." The LP's first single, "A Friendly Game of Basketball," finds J-Zone taking potshots at basketball-playing rap stars like Lil' Bow Wow, Nelly, and Master P – and NBA players aren't spared either: "I can beat the Portland Blazers, believe that/ Cuz when we playing I'll just ask them, 'Where the weed at?'" J-Zone continues to offer up the best in chunky, lo-fi beats and hilarious yarns, securing his position as the court jester of indie rap.
