It's important to have a plan when it comes to the summer's worth of rainy Sunday afternoons. When Scrabble doesn't cut it, Daly City's megaplex can provide hours and hours of enjoyment. A stone's throw from both 280 and BART, the theater is easily accessible, but the best part is that once you get there you never really have to leave. The way the movie house is set up, with the ticket-takers and rent-a-cops on the ground floor and those 20 delightful screens upstairs, even the clumsiest cinephile can sneak from one blockbuster to the next without getting 86'd. The price of a matinee can be stretched to cover a day's worth of entertainment. It's a good activity for a date, too, since spending the whole day sneaking around the darkened corridors is mischievous and romantic, just like something out of the movies.
