FRIDAY (March 17): The Gadabout Film Festival presents more than 20 short films from all over the world, including Frank Lopez's Why I Love Shoplifting From Big Corporations, Lev's Tales of Mere Existence, and Funtime Entertainment's I Oversee the Maintenance of a Tool Shed. Sounds like a trilogy 8 p.m.

SATURDAY (March 18): ATA's Other Cinema screens a program devoted to our straight-shooting vice president, including a Canadian TV Unauthorized Biography of Dick Cheney and shorts by Michael Moore, Carroll Ballard, the Yes Men, Camp Chaos, and others 8:30 p.m.

SUNDAY (March 19): Amnesty International screens Dual Injustice, about the murdered women of Ciudad Juarez, and The Other Side of the Burka (Mehrdad Oskouei, Iran, 2005), about the lives of women on an isolated island 8 p.m.

BALBOA
