As you've no doubt heard by now, activists in the Mission District are freaked out about an S/M porn company moving next door at the historic Armory building. Even the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times have weighed in with stories on the protest over Kink.com opening business inside the brick edifice at the corner of 14th and Mission. What you probably haven't heard about are the pay rates Kink.com offers to attract talent to perform and get kinky in its 50 monthly video productions.

The basic idea is this: The nastier a "model" is willing to get, the more he or she will get paid. Consider this breakdown on the company's Web site for a scene with a man and woman: $700 for vaginal dildo and finger penetration; $800 for vaginal/anal dildo play and finger penetration; $900 for vaginal and/or oral sex; $1,000 for vaginal and oral sex plus anal dildos; $1,100 for vaginal and anal sex; and $1,300 for double penetration.

There are other peculiarities. Take the disparate pay for a poor male submissive, who, for instance, gets paid $500 less than the tranny dominatrix who sticks a foreign object up his ass. (Do sex slaves deal with an ass ceiling in the workplace?) Then there's the $250 extra in "style point bonuses" paid to women who perform in Kink.com's competitive "sexual wrestling." Kink.com owner Peter Acworth says that style point bonuses can be granted for, say, forced finger-fucking. (Chyna, did you hear that, honey?)

Acworth, a likable Brit who was once a Ph.D. candidate in business at Columbia, says the rates are industry standards set by modeling agencies in Southern California. Acworth uses LA Direct, which helpfully lists on its Web site what its models will and won't do (Regan swallows but won't do anal, Georgia will do anal and swallow).

While giving a reporter a tour of the Armory last week, Acworth and his guest stumbled on a scene being shot in a bathroom for the Whipped Assseries. "Whip my pussy!" the bound and naked twentysomething hottie moaned while lying on the bathroom floor. A big-breasted dominatrix in a naughty get-up leaving little to the imagination complied with a gentle flick of the wrist. Acworth says these gals are from the So-Cal agency.

Regarding Kink.com's modeling rates, Acworth says, "It's understood that this is what one pays for ... "

Double penetration?

"Exactly!"
