The Primitive Screwheads' H 3-D: The True Tale of the Haddonfield Babysitter Murderer is a theatrical stage show of the first Halloween. Most of you know the 1978 Hollywood plot: Michael Myers escapes from a mental hospital, puts on a Captain Kirk mask (really), kills babysitters (one of them Jamie Lee Curtis), and survives after getting shot six times at close range (he had seven more films to make). But the Screwheads' version isn't going to be like that, as the troupe is promising to reveal "the true story." Actually, forget about the plot. H 3-D is really going to be about you, the audience member, getting absolutely wrecked. By the last death you should be nearly dead yourself, soaked in blood, comatose from giggling, and glad you wore your old clothes. (Repeat: You're going to be glad you wore your old clothes.) With hits like Evil Dead: Live and the Chainsaw Massacres, the Screwheads have stumbled upon a surefire theatrical principle: Throw fake blood on the audience. And don't think you can squirrel away in the back row like the blue hairs do at Gallagher's sledgehammer freak show — the troupe has taken over the Xenodrome, and those people don't give a crap what happens to the place (at least when it comes to fake blood). The Web site states it simply enough: "Audiences will be drenched in blood and gore."
