S.F. DJs Dave Paul and Jeff Harris recently received the sincerest form of flattery when their popular monthly "Prince vs. Michael Jackson" party was paid tribute to by East Bay promoters Oakland Reggae. The latter threw a "Prince vs. Too Short" night in the first week of July. But the plan is for club domination outside our little region — Paul and Harris have been busy taking their influential event on the road. The concept is too good to be kept a local secret: DJs pit the music of the notorious icons (and their various protégés) against one another, and the clubgoers determine the winner of the battle.
