The Blue Man's Group

When the Robert Cray Band opened for B.B. King in the 1980s, it didn't steal the show. That would have been impossible. You could set King's guitar, Lucille, onstage by herself and bring down the house, then or now. But the young Chicago-style blues and Memphis soul player definitely made an impression, and has continued to slay audiences with a sharp, sugary guitar sound and an unparalleled voice for the ensuing 20-odd years.
