Riding public transportation can be viciously boring and deeply irritating at the same time. Get your revenge by taking a ride designed (by artists, not city officials) to surprise and delight you. "Trolley Dances" is an annual event that finds highly talented movement artists flipping over, sliding around, tap-dancing on, and performing in full view of streetcars. "Guides" are on hand to help out, and Jo Kreiter's Flyaway Productions, Paco Gomes and Dancers, and Robert Henry Johnson with the Bay Area Repertory Dance Ensemble present formal pieces, while others cavort more spontaneously around your commuting self. The two-hour "Trolley Dances" tours leave every 45 minutes starting at 11 a.m.
