If you are not celebrating Christmas today, you could probably just have fun running down the middle of the street. The big problem with that is if you've got children on hand, you could get arrested. Better to check out the Contemporary Jewish Museum's Free Family Day. Celebrating the opening of its bricks-and-superfancy-mortar facility coming up in June 2008, the CJM offers some good wholesome diversions, all perfectly safe and legal: Hands-on art projects, storyteller Michael Katz, and the all-singing, all-dancing Jonathan Bayer. For the adults among you, if there are any, snacks and the chance to learn more about the museum ought to keep you out of trouble for the moment.
