Oh, WOW

Dance, comedy, circus, music, theater: The Women on the Way Festival sure covers a lot of genre ground. From the Sarah Bush Dance Project and Freeplay Dance Crew to musician Avotcja and playwright Channing Sargent, women are very much in the spotlight. In its eighth year, the sprawling, unpretentious festival includes one-woman shows like Katie Rubin's Indecision Collision and Mary Ann Boyd's 51 and Counting (which is about Boyd's many jobs), as well as groups like Identified Queer Objects and Double Vision – and much, much more. The festival starts this evening at 8 with Indecision Collision at Shotwell Studios, 3252A 19th St. (at Folsom), S.F.
