For those who like their entertainments wrapped as tightly as a present, Lost Highway will drive you insane. No surprise there: It's a David Lynch film, so enough about that. But at tonight's midnight screening, the guy who wrote the screenplay with Lynch, Barry Gifford, is taking questions from the audience, so that means you can pepper him with all your WTF questions about such trivialities as plot and character (but don't be surprised if he fires back a "Dunno, what do you think?"). Gifford, of course, is one of our finest local heavy-hitting writers, with crisp novels about wayward characters (notably Sailor and Lulu, who first appeared in Wild At Heart, later made into a film by Lynch) and reams of nonfiction.
