Sex writing used to be the domain of the wildly proficient Anonymous, and there was no need for "best of" collections. But today you people can't stop with the dirty stories, at least if you go by the catalogue at Cleis Press, which has so many compilations it puts Houghton Mifflin's Best American Series to shame. This year's Best Sex Writing 2008, edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel (previously of the classics Yes, Sir and Yes, Ma'am) collects the finest sex journalism of the year. What were the big stories? Blow jobs by Jewish women, the size of some guys, professional submissives, eunuchs, dangerous dildos, the incalculable allure of twins, sex work, and all kinds of porn. Tonight host Carol Queen and contributors Amy Andre, Violet Blue, Greta Christina, Jen Cross, Paul Festa, and Melissa Gira read and sign books.
