Madonna has a new record coming out, thus, many San Franciscans are about to remind everyone why they're called "gay." It's time for massive celebration, people! Time for dance parties, carousing, and the ancient rites of goddess-worship. At the Big Gay Movie Night, someone's doing that last bit up right, by screening the only good movie Her Blondeness has ever made: Desperately Seeking Susan. This same programmer, however, also offers one of the contenders for Worst Madonna Movie Ever, Body of Evidence. It has a five per cent Tomatometer rating on review site Rotten Tomatoes, which is, incredibly, even less than the better-known and more loudly reviled Swept Away. Dress as your favorite Madge to get in for free, and debate the beauty of the Material Girl's multifaceted contributions to culture in a raucously happy homosexual atmosphere.
