Most Maddening

Who's more annoying: Danielle Steel or Muni? Vote now.

Published on April 30, 2008

There was a big upset in the Final Four in the contest to be named San Francisco's Most Maddening person or entity: For some reason, our online readers hate Danielle Steel a lot more than they hate Barry Bonds. Steel took 80 percent of the vote, while Bonds — perhaps the biggest asshole ever in baseball — got only 20 percent. The result of the other matchup was not a surprise: Plenty more readers (92 percent) were more fed up with Muni than with evil stepmother Dede Wilsey (8 percent). That means our finalists are

DANIELLE STEEL

Fun Fact: Danielle spends $4 million to $5 million on shoes for herself and her children at Barney's. (Hey, that's according to a March 30 story in the L.A. Times.)

vs.

MUNI

Fun Fact: According to a March 21 story in the Chron, Muni's "on-time performance slipped slightly at the end of last year, despite there being more buses, streetcars, and drivers available to make the scheduled runs."
