Be Like Mike

Apparently, he doesn't want to be called "B.J.," and who would? Mike Farrell, played Dr. B.J. Hunicutt, the sweet calm to Alan Alda's storm in the world's favorite TV show of the 1970s, M*A*S*H, and became globally beloved. Just Call Me Mike: A Journey to Actor and Activist is the story of what he's been up to since the show ended on (sniff!) February 28, 1983. Some of you already know he's president of Death Penalty Focus -- maybe because he played a doctor on T.V.? That is how one learns the value of human life, is it not? He's anti-war, pro-peace, and has been noted for all kinds of political activities, from defending gay teachers to co-chairing Human Rights Watch to Goodwill Ambassador-ing for the U.N.
