Every summer, the Tour de Fat bike festival rolls through many bike-friendly places — Portland, Austin, Durango — pitches some beer tents, and has a party. That's not the worst thing in the world. Today it comes to a strip of grass in Golden Gate Park. If you can manage it, you should ride there. The tour is run by volunteers from the S.F. Bike Coalition and sponsored by New Belgium Brewing, and all the bike people turn out for the bike parade, the rodeo, and pedal-friendly bands. Everyone goes away happy, some with new One More Bike T-shirts, and you won't even have to spit self-righteous venom or mass in an intersection on the way home.
