Dennis Banks, Native American superhero, plays the theme song to an upcoming documentary film at "Dance for Mother Earth," a concert and dance performance. Banks, dancer Mary Sano, and pianist Tony Chapman collaborate on the composition, which is to accompany a film called The Longest Walk 2: Clean Up Mother Earth, which followed the 30th anniversary re-creation of a cross-country journey by Native activists. Drawing attention to environmental and social justice issues, the walk wound up in Washington, D.C. in July, and excerpts of the film are screened tonight.
