Anyone who can maintain a sense of humor about the state of Homeland Security deserves praise. But if you're "gay, brown, Hindu, and short," as playwright and actor Snehal Desai is, and you keep laughing about Homeland Security, you deserve a lifetime supply of admiration. In his one-man show, Finding Ways To Prove You're NOT an Al-Qaeda Terrorist When You're Brown, Desai tackles not only the IQ of U.S. policymakers but also the troubles with being gay and South Asian. Along the way his character Akash takes us to London, Nebraska, and Mumbai, all while cracking jokes. Nebraska alone is enough to ruin some people's dispositions, so somebody buy this guy a drink or give him a medal or something.
