Steve Bug is a DJ, producer, and head of Poker Flat, the Berlin-based label that's a world leader in capturing that blurry edge between deep house and techno. Poker Flat boasts an international roster of artists, including John Tejada in America, Trentemøller in Denmark, and Håkan Lidbo in Sweden. Bug himself has made singles and DJ mixes for 17 years. His own recent song "Momwack" is a lively track with castanet-like beats and warbling keyboard chords. Bug makes his first local appearance in seven years this week. He'll be joined by Oakland's Limacon, a DJ who also records for Poker Flat, and resident DJ Nikola Baytala at "Further" on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Mighty at 10 p.m. Admission is $15; call 762-0151 or visit www.mighty119.com.
