Walk Right InBy Hiya SwanhuyserPublished on September 04, 2008 at 4:22amDavid Hochbaum, Travis Linquist, and Colin Burns are living in an art gallery. They're just kinda in there, making art, scratching themselves, doing whatever artists do. Not unlike the zoo, the gallery invites you to watch and perhaps interact with them, at the "Goldmine Shithouse Residency," because that's what the three call themselves, Goldmine Shithouse. The exhibit is basically part "happening" and part plain old practical way to invite people to town and get some of their art: The New York-based collective makes drawings, paintings, and prints, often responding to their immediate surroundings. If you go gawk at them, that'll include you.
