Luke Here

Charles Ross is not just a solo performer, he is Hans Solo. And Luke Skywalker. And R2D2. The Canadian actor leaps around the stage in One Man Star Wars Trilogy, acting out every part in every scene -- including the scrolling yellow text -- of the George Lucas films. How is this different from what you did in your bedroom as an 11-year-old (or perhaps last Friday night)? It's different because Ross has spent years perfecting his show, taking it on the road to fringe festivals and even performing at the official Star Wars party Celebration III (he got a standing ovation). The other thing that makes it different is sweat. Lots of it. As Ross told Esquire magazine, "I've always thought that my show is a little like Jane Fonda meets SeaWorld meets Star Wars because of all the liquid flying. If you sit in the front row, you're gonna get covered." Sit up close, bring your Boba Fett face shield, and may the force be with you.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Sept. 25. Continues through Oct. 12, 2008
