Everything in Its Place

After eating a pizza, many of us go through an eco dance: Where do we put the fucking box? In San Francisco, use the green bin. Throw your half-full Chinese takeout in there as well. But your carton of soy milk? Poison like that belongs in the black bin, along with your potato-chip bag and your coat hangers. Coffee is awesome: Your straw stirrer is black, your cup is green, and your lid is blue. Spending a few moments at the trash bins, though, is nothing compared to sorting through the eco clutter and bad information waving in the political breeze. Take Sarah Palin, oil regulator, who went through halting pains to say global warming is not manmade one day, then backtracked, even more haltingly, the next. 2012!
