If December is the stressiest month, and if laughter is a stress-buster, then Jackie Beat's Cups Overfloweth with … Drag Nog! is the strong medicine you need. New York drag star Beat's act involves her singing (yes, sound comes out of her mouth, even though it is a drag show -- you can't keep this much talent bottled up) ridiculous parodies of the popular songs of now and yore. Peggy Lee fans will wipe away tears after Beat's "Fever" send-up, for example, which goes a little like this: "Beaver! Give it kisses/ Don'tcha worry, it doesn't bite …." We're not sure what to say about one of her latest, "I Kissed a Squirrel," other than it's designed to pleasurably gross you out. But it's a holiday show, and holiday songs come in for the worst of it: Father Christmas himself is accused of fornication and/or rape, with the result that "Santa's baby/ Is growing inside of me now …." Time Out New York calls the show "An oasis of bile in a season of sappy sentiment."
