Hopefully you've seen the viral video "Prop. 8: The Musical," starring Jack Black, Margaret Cho, Alison Janney, Neil Patrick Harris, and lots of other smart pro-gays by now. If so, wouldn't you like to be cool like them? All you have to do is call in gay to work today. A Day Without a Gay is a new kind of protest manuver, a combination strike/boycott/service day. The idea is that you, good citizen, call work this morning and say you just feel really, really gay today, too gay to even work from home. Then you spend the rest of the day not making any purchases (gay-hit 'em where it hurts) and volunteering for a do-gooder organization. We like the Atticus Circle, a letter-writing organization, at www.atticuscircle.org, but plenty of places will take your gay ass in today.
