When Mac Wellman debuted Sincerity Forever in 1990, the play won two Obie awards -- and a scolding by Congresswoman Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.). It was named an "outstanding new play" by American Theatre Critics Association -- and the NEA demanded Wellman to remove its credit, even though the group had funded it. Sincerity Forever stars Jesus H. Christ and a couple fur balls. See what the fuss is all about.
