Sacramento's Mayyors spent 2008 spreading a wild rock 'n' roll fury throughout the Golden State. John Pritchard (Sexy Prison) vomits buckets of drool to deliver a static-ridden howl over the grating wall of guitar created by Chris Woodhouse (FM Knives). Mayyors' live sets implode in chaotic abandon, while their musicianship matches technical precision with grainy distortion effects: Woodhouse's imaginative guitar progressions alone produce glimpses of uncharted hardcore territory. Outside of the club, the band has been hard to nail down — it's allergic to the Web, and has released only two extremely limited seven-inches, "Marines Dot Com" and "Megan's LOLZ."
