Jared Blumenfeld wants you to ride your bicycle to a park. No surprise there: Blumenfeld is the new director of the city’s Department of the Environment, and he's paid to say those sorts of things. But he’s doing us one better — or 364 miles better. He's leading ParkBike Tours from Golden Gate Park to pretty much every green space in the city over a four-month period, with 57 planned rides. This morning, that means a nice trek to St. Mary's Playground and Alemany Farm. If such a trip makes you tired just thinking about it, check the online route map and grab hold of the group when it passes.
