Border Crosser

John Gibler, the author of Mexico Unconquered, has spent years writing and reporting on social justice issues in Latin America and the U.S. for news outlets like KPFA, Znet, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. So he knows his stuff. The new book focuses on our neighbors to the south and what they've been up to in the past few years; specifically Zapatistas, Oaxacans, and electoral-fraud protesters in Mexico City. He reads from the book tonight, and shows photographs as well. Joining him are Flamenco-influenced band LoCura and singer-songwriter Valerie Orth.
