Lil KimBy Hiya SwanhuyserPublished on January 23, 2009 at 4:21amKim Addonizio pumps iron, teaches poetry, and writes about the insane using her shockproof bullshit detector. When we saw her last, she was winning an episode of the Literary Death Match. At first we thought she was losing, because she was up against a beautiful and funny story about mustaches told by Rhea DeRose-Weiss, who is pretty and brought a standup-bass player to accompany her. But we shouldn't have worried: Addonizio came onstage and told a better story, subtly flexing her tattooed guns the whole time, and then rocked out on her harmonica with a soulful Delta blues song that had nothing to do with anything, but which proved her to be the clear victor. We'll never doubt again. Addonizio, Kate Moses, Michelle Richmond, and Elizabeth Rosner read this evening as part of Bad Girls.
