Like tequila shots (a love of which inspired his name), New York DJ and producer Drop the Lime's music combines a sense of woozy euphoria with moments of maniacal intensity. On his 2008 EP, Hear Me, unrepentant maws of bass threaten to swallow the listener's senses as dubstep's distending synths hunch with house music's sexualized soul.
