The Italian DJ duo Phra and Bot have been making serious waves with pop-infused, house-based remix work as Crookers. The pair recorded an EP for Diplo's Mad Decent label and landed a breakout with their irresistible take on Kid Cudi's "Day 'N' Nite," a track they gave a speedy electro sheen reminiscent of a Hot Chip hit. Part of a vast world tour that includes Coachella, Crookers' Mezzanine show doesn't promise to be revolutionary, but it should be fun for fans of whooshing, sugary dance anthems with disco slickness.
