Spinal Tap "Unwigged and Unplugged"By Ezra GalePublished on April 21, 2009 at 10:35amTrue story: Years ago, this writer ran smack into comedians Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer in an East Village bar, holding court in character as Spinal Tap's Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins, and Derek Smalls. It was a wise-ass musician's wet dream, which should also be the case when the triumvirate of comic geniuses takes the stage for an acoustic "Unwigged and Unplugged" show at the Paramount. Sure, there probably won't be any exploding drummers or hilariously malfunctioning stage props, but the three will still probably play "Sex Farm" and "Stonehenge" (as well as songs from their faux-folk doc A Mighty Wind), so quit griping and get your tickets.
