Shake Shake Shake … Shake Shake Shake …

Accordion legend turned bluesman meets undulation princesses gone flamenco? That sounds very interesting. Throw in a couple of out-of-town belly-dance companies and some steampunk, and we totally don’t know what to wear, but it’s definitely an art hybrid multimedia WIN. "Juke Joint Shimmy Shake" features the Mark Growden Quartet’s blues, Uzume and Zafira Dance Company belly dancers, and the Mezmer Society, a sort of Balkan/Barbary Coast dance and accordion duo. So we’re still not getting a read on how to start planning an outfit, other than that it should probably involve feathers — but many good elements come together here. And we saved the best for last: Foxglove Sweethearts is former Ultra Gypsy director Jill Parker’s new thing, so tribal-fusion dance fans are likely to flood the joint. And you know, you can wear anything in that crowd, as long as it’s not boring.
