So Polk Street is getting scrubbed? Not on Anna Conda's watch. The recently canonized "Protector of the Polk" keeps it raw and real at Charlie Horse, her weekly drag-show-cum-car-crash at the Cinch on Friday nights. If you like more than just a little grit with your glamour, sidle on in. Where else can you catch such acts as the inimitable Holy McGrail, the genre- and gender-defying Mutha Chucka, and the fiercest of the fierce, Monistat, in one night? DJs Bearzbub and DirtyKnees mix the B-52's instead of Beyoncé, Karen O but not J. Lo, and Iggy Pop over Lady Gaga.
