We had a cat once. She was a total diva who preferred to nap on freshly made beds featuring geometric elements that contrasted not only with the overall bed color scheme but also with her own gleaming onyx pelt. A friend finally clued us in: “She’s a design-oriented cat,” he explained. If you're also a design-oriented cat, the Union Design Festival (formerly Capsule) is for you. Locally and largely sustainably and organically produced items include spats for high heeled girls by Ashes and Empires, Mikaleen’s traditional Japanese baby clothes, and attractive disposable overnight kits for manwhores by Ho on the Go. Obviously, t-shirts and jewelry abound among the 130-odd companies. Maybe even for cats.
