Aiming to help S.F. DJ RasCue (Frank Quattlebaum) with the cost of a kidney transplant, his friends in the hip-hop scene are coming together to throw a “ResCue” benefit. Prominent artists J-Boogie, Dilated Peoples, Azeem, Rasco, and members of Hieroglyphics (Opio, Casual, Pep Love, Phesto) perform live for an extremely value-packed price, the proceeds of which will help offset RasCue’s future medical bills. The solid lineup is indicative of the community love people have for the DJ. Collective spirits lift at “ResCue” on Thursday, June 25, at Temple. 10 p.m., $12; 978-9953, www.urbanumpires.com or www.templesf.com. — Tamara Palmer
