Those seeking bombastic summertime fun should check out rotund Miami MC Rick Ross, his associate Gorilla Zoe from Atlanta, and old-school crowd-pleaser Ice Cube. Houston spitter Baby Bash and much-heralded Miami MC Pitbull bring a Latin edge to mainstream rap sounds, as does Sean Paul by way of his chart-topping dancehall anthems. Surprisingly, the hottest performer on the bill is former dance-craze purveyor Soulja Boy, who struck earworm gold once again on his latest album, iSouljaBoyTellem.
