A producer of insurgent drum 'n' bass as well as adrenalized blog house, Ashley "Treasure Fingers" Jones is Fool's Gold Records' master of tweaked synth-funk. So what makes a proper Fingers banger? Stacked claps on a track percolating with shimmery melodies and synths juddering as if they've been huffing nitrous in an early-'90s warehouse. Treasure Fingers is opening for his label head A-Trak, the multiple- championship–winning turntablist known for his re-edit-enriched, freshly made-from-scratch DJ sets. A-Trak blends Baltimore club and cosmic electro as easily as filter disco and laser-etched hip-house.
