As frequent collaborators, artists Kelly Tunstall and Ferris Plock make a perfect match. Plock, with his deep catalog of fantastical creatures, sometimes festooned with a sort of 19th-century mechanical rigging, captures masculinity. Men are scary, but not really; mostly they fumble along trying to keep it all together. Tunstall, meanwhile, has busied herself with long-necked, fine-boned ladies with almond eyes and '60s hairstyles, sometimes showing off bunny ears or extra limbs. They seem to have it all together already, and exquisitely so, too. In the show “Sea of Love,” the pair shares canvases, exploring what seems to be the theme of their dreams: the legends of the deep sea, with mermaids, lost sailors, creatures of the deep, and drifting love in the inky depths.
