The Web site refers to actual spikes in the punch, but we think they’re simply being colorful with language. “Mishap” turns out to be a bicoastal artists’ collective with an agenda to entertain and delight. Live bands (including one called Spandex Tiger), visual art, and DJ Adam Infanticide keep you stimulated through a series of events you may ultimately forget, if you’re doing it right. Drag out your taffeta and cummerbund, rent a white limo, and be glad life has handed you an “enchanting tropical paradise”–themed do-over.
