Mania

The Beatles are interesting for many reasons, including the flip. Because indubitably, the Fab Four flipped: We can't think of any other band that completely changed in image and music yet retained its popularity, band name, and lineup. Partly in homage to the transition from teenybopper band to psychedelic guru group, the art exhibit "revolution 9.9.9" presents a variety of visual art as well as a performance at tonight's reception by the Vows, a musical group who plan to perform as both kinds of Beatle. Artists including Lee Harvey Roswell, Julia Sanders, Marco Mejia, and many others respond not only to the flip but to all aspects of the band on today's special date.
