Does Gavin Newsom really have a foster brother who's been in and out of prison?

First of all the Department of Corrections and no Rehabilitations might not want to get involved. Hince the denial.
Second, does the SF Weekly have enough money to track down Gavin Newsom half truth, lies, fabracations, credit for program he did not start? Maybe this was during his drinking days and you know how they talk when they've had too much to drink.

Actually the CDCR has numerous inmates with the last name Ashby. Although none of the first names match the name given, it is possible that the first name given was actually a middle name or a nick name. I think this is a little petty. I grew up in foster care and there is a lot of problems with the system. Kids go in to the system with CPS not having proper records, therefore they are often entered in to the computer under the last name of their mother, especially if they are young and unable to correct the social workers. After they go in to the system like that very little effort is made to correct the errors. I have seen it happen more then once.
