Brooklyn-based tech-house producer Adultnapper, aka Francis Harris, approaches syncopated percussion as though it's a post-industrial shooter game. In his midtempo soundscapes, disembodied voices bark and blanch against minor-key melodies, while tactically positioned samples strike briskly with resonant clangs. Live, he coordinates a more straight-on bang, but one still as fucked-up as it is funked-up.
